Growing up in a low-income household, completing Junior High School felt like the end of the road. My family couldn’t afford to support my education any further, and for nearly eight years, I stayed home, uncertain about my future. I made several attempts to learn a trade, but even affording daily meals made that dream impossible. I felt stuck and forgotten. Everything changed when I connected with GCCYD. They saw potential in me when I had none left in myself. Through their support and IT training, I began to rebuild my life. Today, I’m proud to be employed as a System Administrator at the Seventh-Day Adventist Hospital in Koforidua. GCCYD gave me a second chance and helped me find a future I never imagined possible.

My name is Andrew Baah currently pursuing my Maters in Ukraine in Business Administration and Project Management. I wound not have reached this far without the help of GCCYD (GIBICTS CENTER FOR COMMUNITY AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT) I could not continue my education after my Senior High School due to financial constraints. I thought all hope was lost but GCCYD took me and trained me in ICT as a beginner.

After completing Senior High School, I struggled to find a path forward due to financial challenges. Thankfully, I received IT training through GCCYD, which became a turning point in my life. That training helped me land my first job as a Data Entry Clerk at Newmont Gold Mines, Akyem in 2010. I worked hard, applied the skills I had gained, and after a few years, I was promoted to the role of Office Administrator. GCCYD gave me the practical tools and confidence I needed to build a meaningful career.
