To commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025, GCCYD partnered with the Ghana Education Service to empower young girls and raise awareness about menstrual health in Nyafoman. The event focused on addressing period stigma, promoting healthy hygiene practices, and fostering open conversations around menstruation.
Held at the Nyafoman Pentecost Church, the program featured interactive education sessions, Q&A forums, and the distribution of hygiene kits to adolescent girls. Participants were encouraged to embrace their menstrual health with confidence and dignity, reinforcing the theme of building a “period-friendly” Ghana for all.
This initiative aligns with GCCYD’s mission to support youth well-being and advance health equity in underserved communities.
